ScamStrike Announces Board of Advisors, Adding Former Massachusetts State Senator and Former Check Point CISO
Warren Tolman and Pete Nicoletti join ScamStrike to help drive the company's growth as it scales its AI-powered scam detection and disruption platform.
ScamStrike, the AI-powered brand protection platform that detects, traces, and disrupts scam operations impersonating brands, today announced the formation of its Board of Advisors, naming Warren Tolman, a former Massachusetts State Senator and State Representative, and Pete Nicoletti, former Global CISO for the Americas at Check Point Software Technologies, as its inaugural members.
The appointments come as ScamStrike expands its platform and its work with brands, consultants, and law enforcement. Tolman brings decades of legal, legislative, and business development experience, while Nicoletti brings more than four decades in cybersecurity leadership, threat intelligence, and enterprise security strategy, and the two will advise ScamStrike's leadership team on strategy, partnerships, and industry positioning as the company scales.
“Warren and Pete each bring a depth of experience that will elevate how we build ScamStrike and how we bring it to market,” said Scott Prouty, President and Co-Founder of ScamStrike. “Warren understands how to navigate law, policy, and business strategy at the highest levels, and Pete has spent his career on the front lines of enterprise security. Having both at the table strengthens every part of our business.”
Tolman spent more than 25 years as an attorney in Boston at the law firms of Burns & Levinson and Holland & Knight, where he worked closely with startup companies on business development and advised companies of all sizes on long-term strategy. He went on to serve as a Massachusetts State Senator and State Representative, and in 2014 was the Democratic Convention endorsed candidate for Massachusetts Attorney General, the Commonwealth's chief law enforcement officer. He holds a BA in economics from Amherst College and a JD, cum laude, from Boston College Law School.
Nicoletti joins ScamStrike with more than 42 years of hands-on experience in IT, networking, MSSP operations, and enterprise security. He most recently served as Global CISO for the Americas at Check Point Software Technologies, where he acted as the company's chief evangelist and media spokesperson, conducting more than 150 national and international TV interviews and authoring more than 150 articles for Fortune, InformationWeek, CISO Magazine, and other outlets. He previously led security programs at Cybraics Defense, Hertz Global, and Virtustream (Dell), and earlier built the MSSP, penetration testing, and vulnerability management practices at Terremark. Nicoletti is a member of FBI InfraGard, a former member of the U.S. Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force, has served on the boards of the Cloud Security Alliance and ISACA, holds the CISSP, CCSA, and more than twenty additional security certifications, and is the author of the Intel Press book Building the Infrastructure for Cloud Security: A Solutions View.
